With a packed schedule between NCIA CannaVest in San Jose, and the Family Office Club’s Private Investor Summit and Cannabis Drinks Expo in San Francisco, the team assembled at three conferences in two different cities in California last week and had Golden State cannabis products on the mind.
We naturally spent ample down time investigating various cannabis dispensaries and the consumer-facing goods available in robust, thriving adult-use cannabis market. Those from more robust cannabis markets across the US may bristle at the commonality of some of these, but remember here on the East Coast things are just picking up. And there’s nothing the cannabis curious love more than the introduction to some killer products.
So this week we’re putting a spotlight on a selection of products and brands we sampled with a sense of solemn duty (ahem). Call it understanding cannabis product knowledge for the greater good. Or just call it another day at the office.
But admit it: You’re curious.
PART 4: CANNABIS PRODUCTS AS DISPOSABLE DILEMMA

Grapefruit scents provide a natural mood enhancer.”
WHAT WE WANT YOU TO KNOW:
First, yes we’re aware there’s a packaging and waste problem in legal cannabis. Everyone with even the slightest monitoring of the industry has seen or read commentary on how it’s already bad and going to get worse if there isn’t some serious solutions coming down the pipeline (two words: hemp plastic). In any case, sustainability factors aside for a moment, these two disposable vapes came in handy all week long when meetings extended over their timeslot and trade show interviews beckoned. Both gave that pop of clarity, focus, and general sensations of well-being that keep the road-weary cannabis industry traveler on their feet when straight flower (or social consumption for that matter) wasn’t an option. Between the two, we’d have to say Sunday Goods brought a little something extra (we were a fan of the sleek design and the egg-shaped mouthpiece) but both products hit the mark.
A LITTLE SOMETHING MORE: When it dawned on us all the high-energy sativa was going to make the red-eye flight back to Boston a bit of a conundrum, we made sure to stock up on some sedative strains as well in the disposable vape department. Thus, we picked up what Time Magazine called one of the “Top 25 Inventions of 2016“, given the patented precise dosing electronics in these pens, which give a gentle vibration when you’ve hit your optimal dose. We’re happy to report we slept quite comfortably on the plane home thanks in part to this lil’ fella. While the plague of plastic and packaging refuse in cannabis remains an issue to be addressed, it’s hard to knock the convenience and consistency of this pocket rocket to cannabis happiness.
